We must continue to fight this insult, this assault on our dignity and our lives.
None of us were born to be owned by anyone or treated like a commodity.
Or to be beholden to anyone else's hurt ego.
She would of been 27 today.
She will never get that time back.
Nor will her biological family that loved her.
The government NEEDS to fight for victims like Candace, that is their JOB.
Only TWO states in this country, Colorado and North Carolina, have made the type of "therapy" that killed that beautiful child illegal and that is just outrageous.
Please contact the Representatives in your state and tell them that this form of abuse is completely and totally unacceptable and must be outlawed altogether, AND KEEP SAYING THIS UNTIL IT IS DONE.
We need to appeal to good elected politicians like Sue Myrick who care about Adoptees Rights.
And remember Candace today on her birthday.
How she smiled. Who she loved. And why she is gone.
While you let the trail of light she left behind brighten the future for all adopted children who should be spared from the torture she suffered by fighting relentlessly for their protection....
I love you Candace.
We all love you.
And we will NEVER forget.
Fly with the angels my love
And ride with the wild horses.
Who run with the sun and dance with the moon
For they like you like you were BORN to be FREE..
Here on earth and for all eternity..
