If evil is anything it is lazy.
Despite it's strong force and unrelentless persistence.
Evil always wants the easy way out too.
And "evil cheats"....

And despite it's humorous scenes, one cannot deny the sinister undertones of the blockbuster Halloween hit film Hocus Pocus.......

I've been watching this film a lot lately since I purchased it and as Samhain  crept closer to us......

Yes.....
Sarah Sanderson is a bumbling bonehead of a witch, and boy crazy to boot.
And  if one happens upon Tumblr they will find avatar after avatar of her jumping up and down gleefully chanting amuck! amuck! amuck! in a feverish fury that so well represents her airhead demeanor, and the excitement she feels having such easy access to vulnerable youth.

Sarah is also the catalyst that brings innocent children, hypnotized in a zombie state to their very deaths so she can live forever by sucking their souls right out of them.....

And it goes without saying, that death comes in many forms too.......
Because as everyone knows, and as the old abhorrent expression goes, there is more than one way to skin a cat.....
(Sorry Binks)

There is also more than one way to suck someone's very soul right out of them too......

Abuse in many different forms can do this.....
making children into zombie's as much as a song sung on a broomstick can.....

entranced, bewitched, conned and brainwashed.....
Are those who fail to see the true darkness as it is drenched in the artificial glow of the spotlight.....

It has long been thought in Europe, the birthplace of Fairy Tales, that the fable Hansel and Gretel was telling another tale as demonic as a child eating witch.
For many have said that eating children is synonymous with and symbolic of pedophilia......
Jeffery Dahmer is proof of that.

And I would not be surprised, if the child stealing, child molesting, lesbian Georgia Tann once had a cauldron or two bubbling over a fire in her kitchen......

"Over and over he spoke about the good times of his life, the good visions of the past and about how no conviction, no sentence, no little isolated prison cell could take those memories from him. He spoke of saying that a friend had provided him a helpful saying to reflect on as he sits in a cell: "It doesn't matter what you look at, it's what you see."
"I look at those walls and I see light," Sandusky joyously declared. "I see letters of support, I see great memories. I see family and friends. I see those who overcame big obstacles."

While everyone else sees the destroyed souls of helpless boys who have now grown into shattered men.....

"I've been left with deep painful wounds that you caused and had been buried in the garden of my heart for many years," says a once 11 year old victim of the sinister vampire......

Yes evil is lazy.....
And begets charities and industries to summon it's victims.....
For evil would never do all the hard work of looking for it's victims when it can just sit back and invite them on in.....
"Poor" Biological Mothers coerced by Adoption Agencies can attest to that.....
and so can the victims of the Second Mile Charity.....

Oh how ingenious of this son of a bitch....
What a façade of a wall he built around himself.

While at the same time tearing down the one The Adoption Industry has tried to build up so high up since the 50's.

No.......
Adoption Agencies do NOT screen PAP's for psychological problems (and they sure as hell can't screen for what evil may lurk inside some of them either).
That myth was created for liability.
And so we "dirty little bastards" could be blamed if any problems did ensue later on in our Adoptions.
Just like Sandusky went on to blame the boys he persecuted.....

"Within hours, a pre-taped audio statement from jail was conveniently playing on Penn State's ComRadio. It allowed him to condemn the system, label everything a conspiracy and beg those with "the courage to listen" to "evaluate the accusers and their families." He then promptly did it for them, of course, labeling his victims as greedy, dishonest, disloyal, poor, trashy, troubled liars. "

But this is what evil does......
And what bullies do.
Zoom in on the victims lured, make them seem unstable and then blame them for all the horror caused to them in between.
And how they react to it.

Yes evil is lazy......
And it walks into where children are a plenty, at Catholic Churches and summer camps.
The Boy Scouts and Foster Care.
Amusement Parks and Little League.
And of course through Adoption......

For the founder of the Adoption System as we know it today was started by a filthy pedophile named Georgia Tann and all that is vile within it.
The Birth Mother Privacy Lie.
Closed Adoption Records.
The legal stealing through fabrications, manipulation and coercion of children from their Mothers.
Yet few ever ask, can we really think any system that comes from a child molester could EVER be good for children?.....

And isn't it time we STOP it?

No, adults in America have NEVER done enough for children......
even in lieu of laws against child abuse.

And thanks to gay activists and gay social workers, members of the horrific NAMBLA are now free to Adopt, as asking a homosexual man if he is a member of this demented group is considered a hate crime.....
But why should a grown man's feelings be more important than the safety of a child?
Of course, any homosexual man if asked if he was a NAMBLA nutjob would say no, but investigating if he is being honest is also a hate crime too.....
A hate crime against Adoptees if you ask me.....
For once again we are not being protected.
And once again we are being exploited.
All for the sake of The Unholy Buck....

Yes, Adoption Agencies MUST thrive and survive, even if it means Adopting out to homosexual couples who Adopt only to rape children.
And lesbians who get sex changes for little boys who never wanted them in the first place.....

As terrifying as Halloween can be, with all it's ghouls and goblins, it will now be the scariest day of the year every day, for Adoptees who will have to add gender identity crisis to the list of how The Adoption System plagues us.
Changes us.
Destroys us.....
As being easily molested through Adoption will be another form of alienation from self that many Adoptees will now have to suffer.
By Vampires like Jerry Sandusky.......

And Monsters like his wife Dottie who sees fit to blame her Adopted son Matt for all that ails her concerning her husband's arrest and atrocious crimes..

"Matt  has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder but he refuses to take his medication. He has had many run-ins with the law and stolen money and items from our family.”

Yeah right Dottie......

Yes, evil is lazy......
And always wants the easiest way out.
And to dirty it's victims with outright lies.
And bogus diagnoses.
Which is what the atrocities within The Adoption Industry have always done to Adoptees who merely wanted to know who bore them to begin with.
Atrocities that should go out with a big bang like the Sanderson Sisters......
And on this first day in November, there is no better time to hope for that.
All Saints Day.
A day when we should mourn all Adoptees who have taken their lives due to being molested by those who Adopted them.
And who died a thousand deaths inside because they were touched.
By those touched by evil to begin with......

National Dead Adoptee Month.....

When Michael Blosil (Bryan) committed suicide this past February, gay rights activists began commenting on every forum that ran the story about his death, that Michael took his life because he couldn't handle all the "vile hatred spewed at homosexuals".

Elaboration after elaboration began to paint the picture that Michael was himself indeed gay, due to his interest in fashion, due to his enrollment in school learning this very trade, due to his love of art.
A possible fact perhaps hidden deeply by The Osmond Family themselves.

But I didn't buy it.
I KNEW he wasn't gay.
I eventually made a comment on Mirah Riben's blog, "Family Preservation Advocacy" saying exactly that.
"He isn't gay Mirah" I said.
And I was right.
Months later Marie Osmond also said the exact same thing......

So I'm psychic.
So what.
No big news to me. I know a lot of things other people don't know....
Surprises don't elude those with ESP however and we can't pick up on everything all the time, so my stomach turned as the words of so many Americans, so misinformed about the pain Adoptees go through, hit me like a brass knuckled fist had just punched me in my belly button.

Cutting word after cutting word indicated in reader's opinions, that Michael had a genetic "defect" from his biological Mother, a disease called depression inherited from bad DNA due to having a Mother that was probably "trailer trash" because she was single.....

And most likely on drugs.

One of the many "mental illnesses ALL bastards have" just BECAUSE they "ARE"  dirty little bastards. Not one word was mentioned of course, that I have come across, that indicated  Michael's depression might have been caused BECAUSE he felt rejected by his Mother and perhaps couldn't handle the instability of identity that all Adoptees suffer.

Yet all the evidence points exactly to these plights.
Plights all Adoptees are forced to deal with, one way or another all throughout our lives.

And how do so many Adoptees deal with this agony?
With drugs, alcohol, nymphomania, hysteria over rejection from our peers and romantic interests, self-destruction, coldness, reckless and self-destructive behavior, apathy, inability to concentrate, petty crimes, and yes, depression and suicide.
Not all Adoptees engage in all these behaviors however and most Adoptees usually just hone in on a few of them.

Yet sometimes that behavior can end up being our lifelong balm...
While it is also our lifelong curse.......

But it isn't just Adoptees who can begin to go down the wrong path due to feeling unwanted by our Natural Mothers either.
Many children whose Mothers have died, or who walked out on them and their Fathers later in their life, can begin to travel quickly in the wrong direction.
Our burden however, is the one most avoidable, if outdated laws would just change in this land of the (cough, cough) free........

I remember a girl I knew in Jr. High School in the early 70's.
She was pretty and smart but dubbed a "goody two shoes" like I was, by the kids who smoked cigarettes and drank beer across the street in a church parking lot at 12 and 13.
She was ladylike and perhaps a bit prissy according to the cool, popular kids, but I thought she was compassionate and kind and I liked her a lot.

When we were in 9th grade, her Mother killed herself.
She, for reasons I am still unaware of, went into the garage, a Mother of three, and turned on the ignition....
hours later this good humored 14 year old came home to find her Mother listless in a cloud of carbon monoxide.
Days later I, like everyone else in my class was absolutely horrified when we heard this news.
I didn't even know what to say to her.
And neither did anyone else.
I was afraid to talk to her about it.
Terrified I'd say the wrong thing.
And terrified that my own Natural Mother was dead.
Somewhere.
Out there.
Because I needed to see her just once.
At least.
To hear her voice.
And to ask why she could not keep me.
A question ALL children whose Mother was not there as they grew up, no matter what the circumstances, Adopted or not, would want to know.

Because that is just human nature......

I had met her Mother once.
She was such a gorgeous woman.
She was fun loving and nice.
Full of laughter and smiles.
And man, I remember thinking my friend was so lucky to have her for a Mom.
Months later I knew the kind of darkness my friend was in.
Due to her grief.
Her pain.
And perhaps her anger.
She stopped caring about school.
About grades.
And pretty soon leather jackets began to replace her frilly dresses and kilt skits, while looks of sarcasm replaced her look of self-assurance.

She started hanging out in the smoking lounge at our high school, inhaling Marlboros just like me, as I began to slowly burn away the beautiful singing voice I had been blessed with by my own flesh and blood who I was so cruelly told I was not even allowed to know.....
Both of us lost due to being separated from our Mothers.
In an overwhelmingly big school.
Our situations were different of course, but the the confusion and feelings of abandonment were the same.
And so was the apathy....

The insensitivity I have come across on the internet, pertaining to Adoptees has made me very angry, as the typical stereotypes pertaining to bastards have come up from the deep dark murky waters, like a sea monster, rearing it's ugly head.
So hence, another post from me...
and my vent to the entire world....

Stop treating us like we are bad seeds.
Or damaged goods.
Or like we all come from inmates at the local jail or patients at a rehab center.
Because we don't.
And we aren't.
Look instead at the REASONS Adoptees are depressed.
Or take their lives.
Not being  legally allowed to know who our Mothers are while we are growing up due to Closed Adoption (and therefore not knowing the circumstances of our relinquishment which also feeds our feelings of powerlessness and maddening frustration).
Or having an Open Adoption cut off which also undermines an Adoptee's self-worth too.
And stupid Adoption Agencies that play mind games with us when we do try to find our Natural Parents as adults.
"Beemommies" that buzz around all over the internet cement the depression and feelings of low self-esteem their children will have too, as they ignore the fact that they still feel dumped by them.

Adoption may seem like a "gift" to many Adoptive Parents, but we feel like the returned gift.
Just not good enough...
And love from Adoptive Parents is not the cure all like social workers, Adoption Agencies and Church Clergy tell them it will be.

Just like a new friend doesn't erase the pain of being cast aside by an old one.

It will always haunt me that Michael's last painful feelings were concerning a young woman he knew. I think male Adoptees have a very hard time dealing with rejection from females, as they may represent his Mother over and over again.

Light must be shined on the fact that it is the Adoption System and the feelings of not being wanted by our Mothers which can make us ultra sensitive to not being loved by others that might drive Adoptees to suicide, not because Adoptees come from the Island of Misfit Toys in a leaking boat by the way of the Genetic Defect River to begin with.

And since this is National Adoption Awareness Month, I think it is damn high time, the world was AWARE of what the truth about Adoptees REALLY is......

There is scant information on the internet about any experiences Michael may have had with his Natural Mother.
But I am not complaining about that.
Because, especially in this rude age of TMI, it is none of anyone's business if he met her, and if he did, how his relationship with her panned out.
All that matters is that HE knew who she was.
Or that he was given the chance to.

I did come across an interview Marie Osmond gave years ago on the Larry King Show and she said refreshingly bluntly, that she felt it WAS her Adopted children's right to know who their Biological Parents were.
I just hope she meant it....

KING: "In all of your cases, did you know the birth mother?

OSMOND: I didn't -- I don't know my birth mothers.

KING: None of them?

OSMOND: No.

KING: Don't know their names.

OSMOND: I would have to look in the papers. But I have all the information if my children want to know.

KING: For health reasons?

OSMOND: Well, no, but if my children want know, I think that's their privilege and prerogative.

KING: And if they want to meet them someday that's okay, too?

OSMOND: I look forward to it".

Was Michael's Biological Mother truly invited into his life or only allowed to be at his grave site to say goodbye?.....
Most Mormon's don't think Adoptees should have the right to meet their Natural Parents however and we all know the NCFA, THAT HATES THE IDEA OF OPEN ADOPTION RECORDS is proof of that.

But we also know that LDS Adoption Agencies and The Department of Social Work do not tell the truth to Adoptive Parents that our need to know who our Natural Parents are as we are growing up is an essential part of taking care of us.

Instead they hide this truth behind The Birth Mother Privacy LIE and slap bogus labels on us that indicate we harbor abnormal feelings for merely wanting to know our own heritage in the first place.

And the NORMAL need to know and even feel loved by those who conceived us.

And they do this in part because of their immature and relentless greed.

Even when the last shovel of dirt covers the coffins of Adoptees who knew OH SO better.......

Rest In Peace Michael Our Angel

You will be missed forever........

And forever we will love you.....

(I will post once more on Friday, concerning another beautiful Adoptee gone to soon.
It has to be Friday and if you stop by you will see why.
But then I am gone again.
I don't have closure due to the self-centered Adoption Industry.
So Closed Adoption is hard for me to write about.
Two is all I can handle this month.
Despite the many sad stories.
And I won't be back.
At least until the "Adoption Professionals" slap us hard in the face again and it hurts more to hold my rage in than to unleash it on them....)

Modern Family, Ancient Oppression......Part III

THIS POST IS CURRENTLY BEING EDITED AFTER WANKER, LOSER HACKERS RUINED IT....

A lot of people are under the impression that I hate all Christians.
This is not true.
There are many Christians I know, some from as far back as grade school who I will always love, care about and have fond memories of.
There are some that still give me nightmares to....
Yet many Christians can be very nice people, and have pulled me out of deep water when I was about to drown.
A lot of people are under the impression that I also hate all Adoptive Parents. That also isn't true.
I love my Adoptive Father and I always will.
I also just happen to like him as a person as well.
He is a very nice man, and he tries to be friendly, polite and giving.
And I do have respect for the AP's who realize we need to know and have a good relationship with our Real Parents, because this is crucial to our well being and our spiritual, emotional and mental health.
Our strength, motivation and endurance on a planet, where we are all forced to face the fact that life can sometimes be nothing less than a maddening and insufferable bitch.....
AP'S that are selfless and sacrifice their own needs to alleviate our pain by not interfering, manipulating, sabotaging, and trying to make us feel guilty for the primal and God given yearning to love and be loved by those who made us and who we are physically a part of are giving us the best gift they ever could.
A gift all Adoptees are entitled too....
I do however, HATE Catholic/Christian Pro-Closed Record Clergy and the continual lies they curse us with, their refusal to admit that they altered facts about many Adoptees families and births along with their infuriating indifference about ever making this oh so wrong right.
They add fuel to my fire too with the bigoted myths they still teach about we bastards being evil in Catechism, the outlandish mindset Mormons expect Adoptees to execute on their Natural Parents by denying their very existence and the refusal all of them inflict on us by never forgiving us for what they wrongly say we are and for what our Real Mothers have done.
I extend my hatred on all AP's who do the same....
One thing Christian AP's like this love to do, online and off is push the misguided theory that God not only condones but created Adoption (which of course in my mind and theirs means the Closed Adoption system and all the abuse that goes with it). They use compulsively the story of Moses to demonstrate that God is in favour of every corrupt act the Adoption Industry, The Church and themselves commit.
We Adoptees, Real Mothers and the general public read post after post constantly about how Moses's Mother put him in a basket and sent him down the river Nile, joyfully ignoring the fact in their blather that Jochebed did this to save his life, not because she didn't want to be a parent.
Or because she was poor.
Or because she was single.
She had tried to hide him from The Pharaoh of Oppression for three months but could do so no longer and that is why she set her son a sail with her sister watching Moses the whole time. And as their plan panned out, Jochebed would be the one to nurse her son and watch over him as he grew, while Thermuthis the daughter of the Pharaoh who found him, raised him into adulthood.
Pretty smart....
Three weeks ago I watched an interesting program on the History Channel that asked could events that were said to have happened in the Old Testament be proven by science that they actually occured and while watching I was reminded of something that these AP's and The Church constantly overlook.
Although Moses was raised by the Egyptians, he knew he wasn't one of them. Granted, they were kind to him, but they were not kind to those who shared his blood.
And it would be witnessing the abuse of one of his people, that would cause Moses to commit a murder that would end up motivating God to create a whole new set of laws for the Jewish people and eventually for the Christians as well.
Moses was never punished by God for killing the Egyptian slaveowner who he saw viciously whipping the Jewish slave that caused such anger to rise in him that in order to make him stop, he took his life. And many people come to the conclusion that the reason God sought no vengeance on Moses, was because God wanted the Jews to be freed from the bondage that the Pharaoh of Oppression had inflicted upon them. And I agree with this.
But I see another take on this as well. As to why Moses was spared by God because God could of chosen anyone to lead the Jewish slaves to freedom, it wasn't like Moses was the only one on earth to aid Him in doing this.
In the New Testament, when Christ's family is discussed, He is traced back all the way to Adam and Eve. Every single man who came before Him that he is related to by his Mother's blood is mentioned, going back to the beginning of time. So therefore it is obvious that one's ancestors are deemed very important in the Christian religion as they are in the Jewish religion.
This fact can be seen quite clearly in the Old Testament as a man or woman of the Jewish faith is almost always mentioned as the son or daughter of, followed by their Father's name. Moses is written to be Moses, the son of Amram. And it is because of this importance of bloodline, and the passion that all of us share concerning our nationalities, that God did not punish Moses and let him live to be 120 and deemed a hero.
God UNDERSTOOD him.
He understood the love people feel for their own people and those they are related too. How they are a part of them, and form their identity as to who they are in this world from them. And after all God created man to BE this way........
So for this reason, I cannot, I will not ever believe that the same God approves of ripping babies away from their Mothers simply because they are not well off or married, as Jesus demands to forgive all who repent.
DONE.
END OF STORY.
NO PUNISHMENT AT ALL NEEDED.
Like any alteration of the time or day He choose to bring anyone into the world.
I do not think He will take lightly the guilt and shame forced on we Adoptees when we want to know who is in our bloodlines or the immature self-centered manipulations spewed out by the part of social workers, The Adoption Industry, The Church and some AP's sinister lie that only a mentally ill/dysfunctional/ungrateful/neurotic Adoptee needs this information and will be harmed without it either.
I find it quite predictable to that Pro Closed Record AP's steamroll over the fact that God chose for Moses, in the end to spend the rest of his life with those of his own heritage, and not his "Adoptive" Egyptian family.
God sends His message that people should not be cut off from their bloodlines or have them hidden from them, not only through the story of King Solomon, but also through a major event that happened to Moses in his adult life.
So it is quite hypocritical for Christian AP's, imo, to use the story of this great man Moses for their own agenda while never mentioning or seeing the oppression that Moses experienced through "Adoption" himself.
Oppression comes in many forms, and this is why I suppose the new tv series "Modern Family" upsets me due to the storyline of a homosexual couple that Adopted a cute little baby girl from Vietnam, whose character's name is Lily. For I find this hypocritical to.....
I have a hard time I guess, supporting gay marriage which leads to gay couples Adopting because we Adoptees are now faced with yet another group of people who are using us to further themselves. And as they do this, they are completely engulfed in tunnel vision and refuse to see how both The Adoption Industry takes away our rights as human beings.
On the website, Queer Planet, concerning one of the entries I posted last year, entitled "Rotten Tomatoes" someone left a comment which proves this very point.

"Prominent studies are finding there is no harm to children who are raised by gay and lesbian parents , she said. Children do better with two parents, but they don’t necessarily have to be a mom and a dad", she said. ..

And who is doing these "studies" anyway? Gay psychologists?
Gay Social workers who have told gay men and women to Adopt? (and who get big commissions for doing so).
Gay wannabe Parents need to understand for the best interest of children, that heterosexual children are going to feel more confused living with people who are not straight like they are as they have been put into a scientifically unnatural situation like having two Mothers for Parents or two Fathers, (as it is a scientific fact that it takes a sperm and an egg to make a baby, not a sperm and a sperm) because Closed and Open Adoption is an unnatural enough situation to begin with (due to being told we can not know our own Parents names and feeling rejection from our Real Mothers) and they do not need nor deserve to have to deal with the pressure of two scenarios that are foreign to them.
With all the blogs on the internet, that complain about how down trodden the Adoption system is to Adoptees, I cannot believe not one gay PAP, whether they be a homosexual or lesbian have not come across our words or felt our pain.
And it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that when they buy into the very system that oppresses us that was designed by the very people they claim are oppressing them they are merely then the pot calling the kettle black.
I also worry about straight Adoptees from other countries who get a triple whammy being Adopted by gay couples, as it is difficult for them to be in a land so far away from their own people. There are many blogs written by Vietnamese, Korean and Chinese Adoptees, some that are linked on my blog that discuss the true trauma of feeling different and not feeling like they fit in because of their ethnicity.
It does not help Adoptees either for gay couples to buy into the many corrupt practices that the Adoption Industry engages in, one being literally stealing children from their Mothers on the streets in Asia and then advertising them as orphans that are in need of a home, so they can feed the insatiable, greedy monster called their bank account.
"Modern Family" which was created in part to be a gay rights vehicle commits all these emotional crimes against we Adoptees and it angers me that our rights, once again are virtually ignored while everyone hears gay activists through tv shows like this loud and clear, whilst we are flaunted in their opposers faces like a weapon that shoots out we are the same as you ammunition.
And keeps us cemented in the plight of never, ever being treated the same as everyone else in this country.
Gay people are not denied their Original Birth Certificates or their own bloodlines because they are gay.
NO ONE is denied their OBC's in the United States but us, and when gay couples, like heterosexual couples, Adopt, they just keep us another step away from obtaining them.
They are also helping to promote the idea that Americans should Adopt internationally, which more often than not turns into a disaster due to the gross dishonesty in this country which is why Guatemala now refuses to Adopt out their children to residents of the United States, and other countries like China and Russia are more interested in domestic Adoptions for their children now. "Modern Family" is not the only series either that keeps the bindings tight around Adoptees psyches, for when it comes to lambasting us in the media, the pickins are never slim.....
To be continued.....

Oh No Ellen! Say It Isn't So!

And so another gay couple are misinformed about the horrors of The Closed Adoption Industry.
It looks like Ellen DeGeneres may of gotten her education
from Rosie O'Donnell and her bigoted and ridiculous remark that
God put her Adopted children in "the wrong tummy".
Screw you Rosie!
Someone needs to ask Ellen and Portia where they think Adopted babies come from!
And no, surprise!!! it isn't from the pumpkin patch!
That myth is about as realistic as The Great Pumpkin himself.
(And he doesn't bring them either...)
Yes, Ellen, Adopted babies come from real women, many who were forced to give them away,
many times by Christian Organizations and Churches, because they were unmarried and not well off.  And then to add even more insult to injury they had to endure the fact that their own flesh and blood,
that they did not want to loose, was sold to rich celebrities like you.
Innocent children who will later develop a painful identity crisis due to the unethical practice of Sealed Files!
No amount of fame, toys or higher education can ever replace these losses, and it is mentally healthier for most children to be raised by those who created them, as all children need to know as they grow up the woman who they are a part of, who bore them and to be loved by her.
Someone needs to tell Ellen and Portia as well, that some babies are stolen from their Real Mothers off the street Georgia Tann style in countries like China, Guatemala and Russia and are also Adopted out to rich celebrities who were told they were orphans when they were not.
Maybe this Halloween Ellen should read a real life horror novel called "The Baby Thief" that discusses this very subject and learn dark truth about the Closed Adoption Industry.
A scarier Halloween she couldn't imagine....
I admire Ellen for the work she wants to do for **animals, but I hope she will connect the dots soon and see that Adoption IS for domestic pets, NOT newborn infants whose Mommies wanted them...

5 Questions With Ellen DeGeneres
"Ellen's Really Big Show' was a really big hit for Ellen DeGeneres last year, and the daytime talk show host and comedienne is at it again. Only this time, things have gotten even biggerer.
Ellen's Even Bigger Really Big Show' (Saturday, Nov. 29, 9PM on TBS) is a major highlight of The Comedy Festival, TBS' annual event -- which will also be streaming live on their site for those who can't make it to Sin City -- held at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. DeGeneres puts her own quirky spin on the homage to classic variety shows with dancers, performers, acrobats, singers and fellow comedians stopping by to play.

The funny lady joked with AOL TV about living it up at clothing-optional pools and all-you-can-eat buffets in Las Vegas, and talked best friends, branding, Bono and babies.

1. Do you ever miss being out on tour?

I don't miss traveling and sleeping in a hotel every night. I mean, touring got really old and I did it for 15 years. I had no idea I was going to be a talk show host, but I used to tell the audience at the end of the show, "Someday I am going to make you come to me, and I'm not going to come to you anymore." And now they do come to me! So I get to do stand-up every single day. I still get that live energy exchange between the audience and myself. I still get to say the things I want to say and comment on.

2. This comedy special is taped at The Coliseum at Caesars Palace -- what are your favorite things to do when you are in Las Vegas?

Well, the buffet, obviously. I don't know how much it is now, but it's still a deal, isn't it? It's a bargain! I mean, I'm vegan, so I'll just have salad, but still that's a bargain. [Laughs] I'm going to gamble, that's what I am going to do. I'm going to gamble and if there are clothing-optional pools there ... [laughs] Did you know there was a clothing-optional pool? I just heard about [it], and I just was shocked. I guess there're a lot of European people that go there, and that's important to them.

3. You've had your pick of guests for the show -- people are just dying to come on and dance and talk with you -- but is there anyone that you haven't been able to get?

Well, I keep saying Bono just because I think he's an amazing man ... what he does as a humanitarian even more so than as a musician now. And George Clooney, of course -- we're going to capture him one day! We're going after him -- he has eluded us, but we will get him. And now I want Keith Olbermann on, just because I love him and I think he's brilliant. But no, I think we keep getting everybody that we ask for.

4. You've got a new Cover Girl campaign, your American Express campaign, your show -- what's next for the Ellen brand?

My pet food company, Halo. We are going to try to start a foundation, or maybe a couple. You know, obviously I love animals and want to do something. I support Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, which is the largest sanctuary for every kind of animal. But I would like to do something that's working with animals and also probably kids, so I am trying to figure out which -- I would like to be more philanthropic in that way.

5. Kids, huh? Do you and Portia have any plans for kids in the near future?

When I see those print ads that have the babies in them for Gap, maybe that's cute that you have a little Gap knit sweater on the head, little Gap outfit. They advertise kids very well, those Gap ads. [Laughs] I don't even look at the clothes --I just go, "That's a cute baby, I'll take that one." So I don't know, we have a lot of friends who have babies, and they're amazing and change your life and there was a time we were thinking about it ... [but] today is no. I think that is one of the things about not being able to just accidentally get pregnant and have a child. You really, really have to want one, whether it's trying to figure out how you get pregnant or if you adopt. I think that's even more of a reason that people that aren't able to have kids should be allowed to adopt because you have to really want a kid, and that's a big responsibility. So we are not taking it lightly. We're ... we would really think about it before we did it."

**Due to Ellen DeGeneres's advertising campaign for Cover Girl, which is owned by Procter & Gamble, who heartlessly uses, the most torturous, cruelest and barbaric animal testing lab in the world, HLS (please see the link to help shutdown this hellhole on my sidebar STOP HLS in my Special Links I Love section) I hereby renege my comment that stated that I admire the work that Degeneres does for animals, as she is not helping any of them by promoting these products and is only contributing to their horrific suffering and her bank account. What a selfish hypocrite she is! Grow up and shame on you Ellen!

Rotten Tomatoes.......

I wish the gay community in Florida would GET it.
I say tomato, they say tomaaato...
Apparently they are calling a ban on gay Adoption a "form of punishment" as stated in the following article.
Uh, hello, DUH....
What the hell do they think the entire Closed Adoption System was BASED on to begin with?
It amazes me, with everyone out there now, screaming out for their rights, crying discrimination and demanding the end of Oppression, how certain groups of people if granted the freedoms they want will inadvertently OPPRESS other groups of people. Like us. Adoptees.
Sorry, but gays have no right to continue the cycle of Closed Record Adoptions and the corruption involved in Open Adoption because they want to be accepted like heterosexual couples.
Nor do they have the right to expand the slavery like buying and selling of human beings that sometimes IS Adoption. They need to realize that babies were taken from their Real Mothers AS a form of punishment in the BSE era and EVEN now, because the woman has had a child out of wedlock or isn't making a hundred grand a year.
Gay activists also need to stop fighting the anti-beastality laws, as some gay activists do, because beastality is animal abuse and no one deserves the freedom to oppress an animal OR a child....the bottom line is NO ONE will ever be free, if some people's new founded freedoms continue to make prisoners of any living being...and as homosexuals and lesbians demand the right to Adopt they are only being hypocrites, and need to remember the wise words of MLK Jr.....
and until then, I throw rotten tomatoes at their show......(but don't worry, I don't discriminate, I have plenty reserved for Pro-Adoption Christians, The NCFA and the ACLU too...:)

"Judge rules Fla. adoption ban unconstitutional"
Wednesday, September 10, 2008

"Florida's ban on gays becoming adoptive or foster parents is unconstitutional, rules a Monroe County judge in letting a Key West adoption go forward, the Miami Herald reported.
Declaring the adoption to be in the boy's "best interest," Circuit Judge David J. Audlin Jr. ruled the Florida ban contrary to the state Constitution because it singles out a group for punishment, the Herald said.
Mississippi and Florida are the only states that forbid gays to adopt children. Florida's ban has been in place for 31 years.
"Contrary to every child welfare principle, the gay adoption ban operates as a conclusive or irrebuttable presumption that . . . it is never in the best interest of any adoptee to be adopted by a homosexual," Audlin wrote.
Florida does allow gays to become foster, or temporary, parents. The petitioner, a 52-year-old Key West man, had fostered dozens of children before attempting to adopt his special-needs foster son, now 13, who has been in his care since 2001. Both are unidentified in court documents for privacy reasons.
The state Department of Children and Families did not contest the case or attempt to uphold the ban, the Herald noted; nor did Florida's attorney general.
Thus it's not clear if anyone will appeal Audlin's ruling; until they do, legal experts told the Herald, it will hold little sway against the state and federal appellate rulings that have upheld the adoption ban, most recently in 2005.
"On the one hand, this is one trial judge in Key West," Stetson University law professor Michael Allen told the Herald. On the other, he said, "cracks begin to develop in legal doctrine. Even if it has no effect as precedent and it is not repeated someplace else, it's a crack.
"If you get enough cracks, things break." (Barbara Wilcox)
Florida is set to vote for a constitutional amendment banning marriage equality this November. The initiative was sponsored entirely by the Republican National Party. It is unclear how a change in the constitution would hinder same-sex adoption. Experts agree it won't be good for gays and lesbians".

Judge's Ruling Reopens Debate On Gay Adoption Ban
By SHERRI ACKERMAN
The Tampa Tribune
September 11, 2008

TAMPA - A South Florida judge's ruling that Florida's ban on gay adoption is unconstitutional could help convince legislators it's time to change an antiquated law, gay advocates say.
Monroe County Circuit Court Judge David J. Audlin ruled Wednesday that the state's 31-year-old ban is unconstitutional because it singles out a group for punishment.
The Key West case involves a 13-year-old boy with learning disabilities and special needs whose 52-year-old foster dad wanted to adopt him. A social worker highly recommended the dad and his partner for the adoption, but state law forbids that.
"Contrary to every child welfare principle, the gay adoption ban operates as a conclusive or irrebuttable presumption that ... it is never in the best interest of any adoptee to be adopted by a homosexual," Audlin wrote in his ruling.
Circuit judges in Florida have twice before found the statute unconstitutional, both in 1991, though the challenges stalled at the appellate level. A similar case is expected to be heard in Miami next month.
"These cases are different from prior court cases because the science wasn't in the record," said Karen Doering, a civil rights lawyer in St. Petersburg.
Prominent studies are finding there is no harm to children who are raised by gay and lesbian parents, she said. Children do better with two parents, but they don't necessarily have to be a mom and a dad, she said.
"Every reputable child welfare organization in the country opposes these bans," Doering added.
Nick Cox, regional director of the Florida Department of Children & Families, said his agency only follows what the law commands.
"We obviously can't do anything about it," he said of the ban. "We keep trying to place children in good safe homes."
Florida has 3,307 children available for adoption; about 75 percent have identified homes, DCF spokeswoman Sarrah Troncoso said. That leaves about 1,000 children in need of adoptive families, she said.
In Hillsborough County, 654 children "need safe, loving, nurturing families to grow up in," said Jeff Rainey, chief executive officer of Hillsborough Kids Inc., which oversees local adoptions for the state.
Florida's law is the only one in the nation explicitly excluding gay men and women from adopting. Utah allows only married couples to adopt and the state doesn't recognize gay marriages. Mississippi bans adoptions by couples of the same gender, but not by gay individuals.
Despite the ban, Florida welcomes gays to become foster parents and at least one local couple was allowed to go a step further.
Curtis Watson and his partner of Seminole won long-term custody of two foster girls in 2004. Pinellas County Circuit Judge Irene Sullivan thanked the couple and told the state it owed them a debt of gratitude for the way they cared for the girls, who had been severely abused.
"It was one step shy" of what the Monroe County judge did, said Watson's attorney, Deborah Eldridge of St. Petersburg.
"I'm very excited," she said of Wednesday's ruling. "Obviously it's going to be appealed ... but it's really a matter of time" before the ban on gay adoptions is overturned.
Today, Watson's daughters are 9 and 10 years old and thriving, said the mental health provider who works with foster children. "They're growing up, going to school, making friends," he said. "It's been a very good life."
He looked at the recent ruling as yet another chance at breaking the barrier.
"Of course, any step we can take lifting the ban is the step in the right direction," he said. Although he would love to adopt the girls, "we're a family, regardless."
Not everyone revels in the ruling. "It's unfortunate you get a rogue judge who wants to legislate from the bench," said David Caton of the Florida Family Association, a Tampa-based group that strives to improve America's moral environment.
Florida is not the only state that considers same sex couples inappropriate, he said. Other states may not have statutes on the subject, but they have regulations that make it difficult or impossible for gays to adopt children.
Gays are "pushing for acceptance of their lifestyle and using the court for that," Caton said. "It's unfortunate that children are caught up in the middle."
