Sorry all you nutjobs out there, like Jeane Newmaker, Connell Watkins and Julie Ponder, but you can NOT take an Adopted child who ALREADY LIVED WITH HER NATURAL MOTHER WHO SHE REMEMBERS and physically force her to believe her Adoptive Mother gave birth to her....
And THEN on top of that, verbally abuse her and physically restrain her because she fights you on it.
It is wrong imo, to do the same to Adoptees Adopted as infants or Adopted from another country as they all know reality is they WERE carried inside another woman, ESPECIALLY WHEN THAT CHILD IS TOLD HE OR SHE IS ADOPTED.
DUH......
DAMN.
GET SOME SMART PILLS.......
Rebirthing Therapy" or "Attachment Therapy" is nothing but a gateway to push Adoptees into a psychotic mindset.
And this is bonafide child abuse.
Yet this quackery still goes on every day in this country.
And some Adopted children do not survive it.....
PLEASE LIGHT A CANDLE TODAY FOR CANDACE.

Thank you for keeping Candace Tierra's memory alive. I know Candace's birth family and their family circumstances gave them the belief that her adoption to Jean Newmaker (a single woman) would offer Candace opportunities in life they could not.
ReplyDeleteJean Newmaker was a pediatric nurse & sat in the room during the rebirthing session that murdered Candace, a 10 year-old child.
I was in court the day Connell Watkins was handcuffed and taken away. I want to add that Judge Tidball (sp?) found no intent to harm. But for a law in Colorado stating that child-abuse resulting in death required a 16-42 year sentence, both therapists would have walked! As it was, Tidball gave them the minimum - 16 years. Watkins served her term and is back on the street.
Candace's birth family loved and adored her and the depth of pain her tortured death brought her family was inconsolable.

One would think the so called ''therapeutist'' would at least feel remorse for literally KILLING a little girl that was too helpless to defend herself from what was to come to her...
ReplyDeleteThat malicious grin on the photo makes me feel absolutely enraged that someone can commit something so irresponsible and later even feel proud of what they've done. It sends shivers down my spine to see Candace with her birth mommy on the photo, happy like a little girl should be, and then realizing that such a young life that could have potentionally been so happy had been wasted just in favor of these selfish freaks... I wish Candace's family everything good and send them my sincere condolence. May Candace's memory prevail and may her death not come in vain. Foster children need to be treated as a sentient beings.
